Calibration and Metrology

SPC Doza is accredited by the Russian Federal Accreditation Service and officially recognized as the enterprise providing calibration service and metrological verification work for radiation measuring instruments in accordance with the requirements of GOST-R ISO / IEC 17025-2006 standard.

The scope of work includes initial factory calibration, periodic time based calibration and metrological verification of all types of dosimetry, radiometric and spectrometric instruments, instruments for monitoring the characteristics of X-ray machines, as well as instruments and devices for measuring flow rate of air samplers.

The metrological calibration laboratory of SPC Doza is equipped with radiation check sources (reference sources) Cs-137, Am-241 and Co-60 for work with gamma radiation instruments; radiation check source IBN-8-5 (Pu-Be) for neutron radiation; reference sources of alpha and beta radiation for radiometers and spectrometers.

Metrological verification of measuring devices for monitoring the characteristics of X-ray machines is carried out at the X-ray unit. A high-frequency x-ray machine is used as a radiation source. The beam formation system (collimators, main and additional filters) allows to create the required x-ray fields.
