SPC Doza ramps up production of detectors

Exactly two years ago, in February 2020, SPC Doza started working in a new direction production of silicon semiconductor detectors. For the first year of work the specialists of the experimental technology department implemented two projects: they mastered and organized the production of silicon semiconductor detectors, as well as production of large-area alpha and beta detectors. Already by the end of 2020 the department was able to cover completely the company's own needs for these detectors that are used in the devices manufactured by SPC Doza, such as the radiometer UMF-2000, monitors of radioactive aerosols and gases.

Next stage was a development of the second line of activity production of large-area alpha and beta detectors for the Hand-foot-contamination monitors RZBA-07D and the Whole body contamination monitors RZBA-09D of nuclear power plants, as well as radiometers of operational monitoring. In February 2021 a new production site was opened and the number of employees increased. Due to serial production of these contamination monitors, in which large-area detectors are used, their production volume has increased by tree times.

The department is particularly proud of the development of layout and manufacturing process for complex coordinate-sensitive detectors, which are applied in major international scientific projects in the field of high-energy physics.
