On innovative solutions of SPC "Doza" in modern means of monitoring the ionizing radiation parameters  at the International Salon "Integrated Safety & Security 2021"

From 12 to 16 May 2021, Patriot convention and exhibition center in Kubinka, Moscow region, held the International salon of safety and security equipment "Integrated Safety & Security 2021". The event is organized by EMERCOM of Russia and Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The stand of EMERCOM exhibits the in-house innovative developments of SPC "Doza" such as the dosimeter-radiometer MKS-17D with new external probes, the radiation and chemical reconnaissance unit PRHR-D, the radiation monitoring system "Fregat", the gamma radiation dosimeter DKG-09D and others.

Alexander Komissarov, deputy general director of SPC "Doza", took part in the business program of the exhibition. At the round table "Goals and directions of integration of scientific organizations of educational institutions and industry to improve the effectiveness of protection against emergencies" he presented a report "Innovative solutions of SPC "Doza" in modern means of monitoring the ionizing radiation parameters". Alexander told in his speech about a positive experience of creating innovative elective courses in leading Russian universities. As an example the speaker cited the work of the training center of SPC "Doza" on the basis of the Obninsk Institute for Nuclear Power Engineering of the National Research Nuclear University of the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (OINPE NRNU MEPhI), Obninsk. Thanks to the integration of the institute's curriculums and practical scientific developments of the leading Russian manufacturer, students not only study the building principles of radiation monitoring equipment, but also take an active part in R&D, as well as in the development of models and prototypes.

Special events of the business program and a separate Arctic exposition were dedicated to the important topic of safety assurance in the Arctic zone of the RF. At the round table "Issues of global climate change and permafrost degradation" A. Komissarov made a report "Priority directions in modernization of instrumentation to monitor environmental components in context of global climate changes". In his speech, the speaker told about successful Arctic tests of the radiation and chemical reconnaissance unit PRXR-D produced by SPC "Doza". The tests were performed as part of a comprehensive Arctic expedition "Umka-21". The purpose of expedition was to conduct a complex of practical and combat-and-training, as well as research activities. During the implementation of the "Plan of military-technical experiment to analyze advanced samples of technical means of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the Navy in the harsh climatic conditions of the Arctic", the PRHR-D confirmed the specified performance characteristics for detecting of chemically dangerous and toxic substances and gamma radiation monitoring.
