NPP "Doza" has won a competition for supplying the nuclear ice breaker "50 Let Pobedy" with the radiation monitoring system.
The committee judged that the cost of the RMS supply, offered by NPP "Doza" is lower than this offered by another candidate. The RMS is developed on up-to-date element base and consists of the radiation in-process measurement (RPM), the radiation environment monitoring (including the gas aerosol monitoring) (REM), the radioactive pollution monitoring (RPM) and individual radiation monitoring (IRM) subsystems.
Note:
The construction of the ice breaker " 50 Let Pobedy", originally named "Ural", was started at the building berth of the "Baltisky zavod " on October 4 1989, The ice breaker was launched on December 29 1993. For August 1 2002 the ice breaker was technically ready for 79,03%. Now the Russian nuclear icebreaking fleet, in view of overhaul-period renewal of current ship nuclear systems up to 150 thousand hours and commissioning of the nuclear ice breaker " 50 Let Pobedy ", will allow to ensure the cargo transportation along the North Sea Way up to 2012-2015.
